Hello

I'm Ashlee, the founder of Growing Wonder!

Ever since I was young, I’ve loved spending time with children, engaging with them, learning from them, and seeing the world through their eyes. There’s something truly magical about the way children find excitement and wonder in everyday moments, and that sense of curiosity has always inspired me.

With over a decade of experience in the Early Childhood field, specializing in Infant and Toddler Education and Special Needs Education, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles. From being a private nanny to working both on the floor and in the office of a childcare center, I’ve gained firsthand experience in what it takes to create enriching, supportive environments for children. Beyond working directly with young learners, I’ve also had the privilege of teaching Early Childhood Education and Infant and Toddler programs at the college level, as well as mentoring future Educators as a Practicum Instructor. Guiding and inspiring the next generation of Early Childhood Professionals is a role I deeply value.

I founded Growing Wonder to bring educators and parents together in a space where learning never stops. Through affordable, high-quality workshops, I strive to empower educators with the tools and inspiration they need while also providing resources for parents to help them feel confident in their child’s early years. In addition to workshops, I also provide free resources for both educators and parents, ensuring that learning and support are always accessible.

I also have a passion for storytelling and hands-on learning, which led me to create Tiny Tales, the sister company of Growing Wonder, offering in-person felt story workshops and a collection of small-batch, handcrafted felt stories for purchase. Bringing stories to life through felt has been one of my favorite ways to make learning engaging and interactive, and I’m excited to share it with everyone.

I acknowledge that I live, work, and learn on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Stó:lō, Semá:th, Mathxwí, Sumas, Kwantlen, and Nooksack peoples. Indigenous communities have long used storytelling to pass down knowledge, history, and culture, and I deeply respect the wisdom and traditions that have shaped these lands for generations. With Métis heritage of my own, I am continually learning about the diverse histories and traditions of Indigenous peoples and recognize the importance of lifelong learning in reconciliation. Through Growing Wonder, I am committed to fostering spaces where curiosity, connection, and respect guide us forward.

My mission is simple: to spark curiosity, inspire growth, and support those who shape young minds. When we nurture a child’s wonder, we help create a world full of lifelong learners.

I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you!
